I am not in favour of the York1 Gage Transfer Ltd. expanding its waste processing operations at their Gage Ave. facility to include the handling of construction, demolition, and asbestos waste, as well as excess soil. This is too close to a residential area, especially the handling of asbestos. While I appreciate it could create more jobs and needs to be done somewhere, doing it at this facility would have a detrimental effect on the health of the community.
