The Greenbelt is one of the most important legacies of previous Ontario governments, and acknowledged across party lines. It is essential to both our food supply and sustainable environment. Maintenance and improvement of our environment and water supply is essential as addressed in several acts , and cannot be left to individual municipalities to override.
Please remove Schedule 10 from Bill 66, which allows municipalities to override provisions in the Greenbelt Act, Clean Water Act, Lake Simcoe Act, Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Act and Great Lakes Protection Act.
