I am a resident and home owner in Hamilton, Ontario. Please do not repeal regulations that ensure that our land, air, and water are kept safe from toxic chemicals. I remember growing up in Toronto lamenting that I could not swim in Lake Ontario in the hot summers. Since I’ve entered my 30s Lake Ontario has become swimmable because less industrial waste is being dumped into the lake. The value of a clean lake is immense. The costs to the province and the nation will be immense if our air, water, and lakes become more polluted. Please do not let this proposal move forward.
