Living in Caledon for over forty years, one learns fairly quickly that $$ motivate all. There are some very responsible and affective people at the municipal level, but it always amazes me that the protective mechanisms cannot thwart the pressures and demands of developers with no regard to preservation of clean water, wildlife habitat, not to mention of the welfare of those living in the area for generations to come. So much for promises of protectionism!
