Bill 66 is exactly what Ontarians do not need. We should be using our privilege to create greener communities and working towards existing in a healthy balance with the environment. I am strongly against Bill 66 because I want to live in a place with drinkable water, clean air, and protected wilderness, not additional factories and exposure to toxic chemicals. I'm sure many Ontarians would feel the same. Our health and well-being matter too, and a healthy environment is essential for that. As a member of Burlington's youth I'm concerned about the world we'll grow up in, and everyone I talk to seems to agree that we want to build up, not out; we want to preserve the greenbelt and protect our land; and we're not so stupid that we can only see the short term economical "benefits" of concreting over the environment. The fertile soil and the ecosystems that naturally supply us with clean air, water and food are valuable gifts that we've already destroyed too much of.
Please stop Bill 66.
