As a stakeholder my main concern is the make up of members of COSSARO and their track record of adding to the SAR list based solely on their personal ideologies. The best example of this is the recent ban on coyote in order to protect the fairy tale species referred to these members as the 'Algonquin Wolf'. There was absolutely no science relied on during this process, further more the EBR posting for this change was very very short, for reasons one can only speculate.
Future make up of COSSARO members should include all stakeholders and the decision making process be refined in order that personal ideologies and political influences do not interfere with the real issue at hand.
