The Endangered Species Act is an important part of Ontario's role in conserving biodiversity. I believe that the only way to have a legitimate ESA is for the process to be scientifically based. The listing should be based on science, and the habitat protection needs to be mandatory. I am an Ontario based Canadian and I can say that I will not be supporting the conservative party if they continue down this path. Climate, biodiversity, and conservation are crucial aspects of today's world. They need to be prioritized and not be made part of the political process.
