Ontario wildlife is going to come under increasing threat from climate change in the next few years, which means that more species will be endangered. Can they all be driven toward extinction with a 'pay to proceed' provision? We are stewards of the environment, not teenagers throwing beer cans out the window of Chevys. If business could have found a way to take care of the climate, the animals and their own profits we wouldn't have Endangered Species and Climate Change in the first place.
The system is complex, and like a house of cards, if you take out one, you can't predict how many others will fall.
This is not wise governance.
