Conservation Authorities are major providers of restoration activities (tree planting,
wetland restoration, forest management) and monitoring watershed health in
Ontario. With ever increasing population density in the province it is more important than ever before to maintain funding and support to programs that administer these services. Conservation areas and lands provide opportunities for recreation as well as long term protection of natural areas. Conservation authorities need the resources to manage these lands and provide for Ontario’s growing population. Please consider these important roles (among many others) before undermining the ability for these organizations to do the important work we rely on them to do!!
