RENTAL DC DEFERRAL:
Deferring Development Charges for rental projects and non-profit housing priorities
makes sense. We are hopeful that this change will allow purpose built rental and
not-for-profit projects to move forward faster.
DC EXEMPTIONS:
We are supportive of the changes that will allow for exemptions of Development
Charges on secondary suites and communal conversions. There is tremendous
opportunity in secondary suites, laneway homes, small homes, etc. in filling a portion
of the housing demand.
