Gravel Watch Ontario is pleased that the Province is continuing to work towards an effective regulatory framework for the management of excess soils in Ontario. The posted proposals are a step in the right direction. As a member of the Ontario Soils Regulation Task Force we support the comments and positions taken by that organization and encourage the ministry to address the concerns identified. The risks arising from the improper management of excess soil are too great of a threat to our rural communities to be left unaddressed any longer.
