Again we have a proposal in which aggregate mining is given priority over agriculture, water, habitat, and consideration for climate change. I object to the proposed Hallman Pit for the following reasons.
1 The proposed Hallman Pit will violate the Climate Emergency Declaration of Wilmot Township
2 The gravel pit in a Source Water Protection Area
3 There will be a great deal of noise and dust affecting people who live in the area.
4 Trucks create traffic hazards, cause damage to roads, and emit exhaust.
I hope you will consider agriculture and climate and reject the proposal for any pit.
