I am concerned about the proposed Hallman Pit for a number of reasons.
First, it will violate the Climate Emergency Declaration of Wilmot Township. Second, it makes no sense to have a gravel pit in a source water protection area. Third, the noise and dust created by the increase in trucking in the area will create health problems for the area's residents and finally, these trucks will create traffic hazards for those residents who walk, cycle, are bussed in school busses, drive agricultural machinery and simply drive in the area. All in all this pit is a hazard.
