The proposed Hallman Pit will violate the Climate Emergency Declaration of Wilmot Township.
It makes no sense to have a gravel pit in a Source Water Protection Area and the loss of habitat and animal life is completely unconscionable.
Noise and dust will create severe health effects as well as flying debris from the worked area has the potential for damaging cars, houses and possibly injuring people.
The hundreds of thousands of truck trips per year will create traffic hazards for pedestrians, cyclists, school buses, agricultural machinery and local drivers.
The proposed Pit will lower ground water levels, devastating wells in the surrounding area, leading to elevated drought conditions in the farmlands.
