As a long-time resident of West Hill (Scarborough), I live in close proximity to the sewage treatment plant adjacent to the proposed waste disposal site. When the existing site was scheduled for renewal, I along with much of the community opposed the proposed "beneficial use" plan which was put forward by Toronto council headed at the time by Mayor Ford. This proposal is even more egregious than that proposal as it proposes trucking waste material into the community from off-site sources.

Like it or not, this area is primarily residential, and although there are some pre-existing industries in close proximity, it is wrong-headed to consider building a facility of this nature in the community.

This was brought to my attention by a private individual. Why was the community not notified by government sources? Why is the proposal from a numbered company whose principals have not been disclosed?

I most vehemently oppose the proposal, and recommend full disclosure to all members of the community by Provincial and Municipal governments before any further action in this matter.
