I do not support the further regulation on Canadian Farmers. Most cervid based farms are responsible small business owners who understand that additional cases of CWD will also impact their business. They have a vested interest in controlling and eliminating CWD from captive deer herds.
Additionally further regulation on Natural lures and scents is not justified, there are reputable manufacturers who test and ensure CWD is NOT present in their products. The Government should be ensuring regulations that support those companies that have invested in the technology ensuring CWD is not present in lures and scents.
Lastly the restriction on the transportation of high risk carcass material should be expanded to include proper disposal of carcasses within the county of harvest. However this should be a recommendation and supported by a government program but not dictated through increased regulations.
