Many people more qualified than I have sent comments asking you NOT to create and use MZOs. To use them would be to bypass all the efforts of local people, organizations and municipal governments in land use and conservation protections. MZO's already have contravened Provinicial Legislation regarding the Oak Ridges Moraine and the Greenbelt.
In the long term, it makes no economic sense to pave and develop lands outside settlement areas. There is still plenty of serviceable land available.
Please heed the experts and passionate voters and cease MZOs everywhere. Have the developers simply follow the rules like everyone else. Conservation and environmental protection is not red tape.
