Minister's Zoning Orders should ONLY be used in cases where the local government is making a decision that hurts all Ontarians. In other words, only where the MZO is needed to SAVE a local significant wetland, woodland, other significant natural area including species at risk habitat, or good farmland. All these features are what support our society economically and ecologically. Minister's Zoning Orders should NEVER be used to support the interests of a developer who wants to harm or destroy these features. We look to our government leaders to HELP Ontarians, NOT hurt them or future generations.
