I would like to add my voice to the citizens of Stratford (as well as other citizens in the Province of Ontario) in objecting to the MZO that is being used to ram through an enormous glass factory in our community. We were not consulted or informed of this prior to the MZO being issued. We are still waiting for legitimate answers we have for Xinyi regarding the water use, air-quality and general environmental issues and impact. This project is out of all proportion with our small city. Which is known for its heritage architecture, surrounding farmland, theatre and as a tourist destination. I do not object to progress or industry but please not on this scale and not without consultation of the public and without an environmental assessment. Information we are receiving from Xinyi is unconvincing and fluid, numbers, facts and projections change as they are objected to.
