Thank you for the opportunity to comment. Here are my comments:
Ministry Zoning Orders were designed for emergencies. Ontarians are appalled that our current government used MZO 39 times. This cannot continue.
Repeal this proposal now. These changes neuter the ability of municipalities to regulate new development, throwing modern planning tools aside in the interests of a few at the expense of the rest of us.
We need regulations and appropriate oversight on our fragile lands, we need to preserve our precious farmland, avoid sprawl and preserve our wetlands and woodlots.
Humans, despite all their accomplishments, owe their entire existence to six inches of topsoil and the fact that it rains. Let's not forget that.
Repeal this proposal now. Thank you.
