Please reconsider this proposal to gut conservation authorities. It should not be made easier for developers to pave over invaluable farmland, forests, and wetlands. This endangers the vitality of our air, our water systems, our plants and animals, and our own health and wellbeing. We can not afford to sell these lands to the highest bidder.
We must move cautiously and with great care.
Further development in wetlands must be banned and natural forests should be off-limits to housing developments. We must work harder to protect these spaces, not create policies that allow for greater destruction.
