Using minister's zoning orders to override policy set in place to protect the environment is immoral and an abuse of power. I oppose Schedule 3 of Bill 257 and wish for MZOs to stop being used to destroy nature. It is also unacceptable for the Ontario government to destroy provincially significant natural areas while changing the law to avoid accountability for their actions. We saw through the situation that transpired at Duffin's Creek in Pickering that existing policy has already been violated by the Ontario Government using MZOs. From my perspective, this legislation is simply being used as a tool of the government to avoid punishment for their actions. Take responsibility and reject Schedule 3 of Bill 257!
