Question 1:

What are your thoughts on the initial focus area of the Study Area of the Paris Galt Moraine?

my thoughts re: initial focus area is that this is a good start, but just a start. I think the principle for growing the greenbelt is to eventually see all protected land areas connected into ONE CORRIDOR that allows for native wildlife and vegetation to flourish across municipal boundaries; and extends the "moraine " designation to include "protected lands" in the south end of Guelph and Puslinch as well.

Question 2:
What are the considerations in moving from a Study Area to a more defined boundary of the Paris Galt Moraine?
I think you have defined those clearly in the four principles outlined -growth, natural heritage, agriculture and infrastructure. I think it is important as well to include a green recovery plan, which puts an emphasis on conservation and restoration; building up rather than out -and not using fertile land to develop but to maintain it for agriculture; supporting local farmers over against industrial farming operations and aggregate mining; developing EVO recharging stations for electric vehicles, more bike lanes, and public transportation; and developing a by-pass road system around communities like Morriston.
Question 3:
What are your thoughts on the initial focus area of adding, expanding and further protecting Urban River Valleys?
I support all efforts to expand river and watershed protection; and also to stop the commercial use of drinking water like nestle etc...
Question 4:
Do you have suggestions for other potential areas to grow the Greenbelt?
Definitely Puslinch!! south end of Guelph! linking established corridors with new land areas.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
Question 5:
How should we balance or prioritize any potential Greenbelt expansion with the other provincial priorities mentioned above?
Priority given to water protection, wildlife migratory paths and reproduction needs, natural plant and biodiversity requirements. commercial enterprises should have less priority and be subject to strong environmental protections and pollution accountability rules.

Question 6:
Are there other priorities that should be considered?
building more safe wildlife movement corridors - especially for larger animals like deer, coyotes, and animals that now must cross roads and highways - turtles etc...
