Please expand the Greenbelt…

Please expand the Greenbelt as much as you can! One of the greatest assets of Toronto is the accessibility of its green spaces, and the benefits of spending time in nature have only been made more apparent in the current pandemic. I regularly spend time hiking and bird-watching in the river valleys east of Toronto, especially Rouge, and it would be amazing to have an interconnected ecological corridor there, connecting to Duffins Creek, and the same on the west side, in the Paris-Galt Moraine area. Protection and restoration of habitats for native species all around the city will benefit the human residents of Toronto as well, both in the form of jobs and in the form of access to nature and outdoor recreation.
