Following our review of publicly available information, it is our understanding that the current focus of the potential Greenbelt expansion areas being investigated include the Paris Galt Moraine and Urban River Valleys. With respect to the approach to Urban River Valleys, we are aware that as of this time the review is focused on protection and/or enhancement of these in the context of publicly-owned lands only, which, with the information on hand, appears to be appropriate. While we do not anticipate our client’s lands would be impacted by expansions as currently contemplated, we will remain engaged in the process as it advances, and suggest that a robust stakeholder consultation process be employed by the Ministry to ensure an appropriate outcome.
