The Conservation Authorities have expanded their mandate far beyond the need to protect the public.
They have become agencies of municipalities for "expropriation without compensation"
The Cities can't afford to buy all the valley lands etc, so they neutralize the use of those lands through oppressive Conservation Authorities regulations, which have gotten way out of hand
They stack the CA's with "friendly" staff who have the same vision, they don't go out and get balanced Boards who would take a fair view of landowners rights.
I have a large property that i want to build 1 house on, the area occupied by the house would be less than 1% of the lot area.
All the design is supported by top-level scientific Engineering, yet I will have a 10 year fight to get a Building permit. Who am I harming?
