I feel strongly that the Pickering nuclear power plant should be shut down as soon as possible. It is costly, unsafe and holding us back from the necessary transition to 100% renewable energy production. Ontario has an energy surplus; the power generated by the Pickering plant is not needed and we must immediately invest in truly safe and sustainable power generation to fight climate change and meet our future energy needs.
