As a Registered Professional Planner, I support the proposals in Bill 13 to delegate and stream minor by-law amendments. This would free up Councillors' time and planner's time as well in having to prepare staff reports, freeing up the council agenda for more time to hear from the community and debate matters that are more critical. Please ensure to allow for delegation of temporary use by-laws, lifting of holding provisions, technical amendments (fixing up typos in previous by-laws), revising S.37 agreements with typos or that are deemed minor in nature.
