This is a terrible idea. I understand that housing is a concern, but if we want to hav long term sustainability in our communities then we need to take into account groundwater, flood plains, terrain, farmland etc. There is a damn good reason these lands were protected in the first place.
Why is it so important that those particular parcels be developed? If there are other parcels to “substitute” then build there. Build in less sensitive areas and invest in transit solutions that make living outside cities feasible. High speed rail would do a lot more to solve these issues than paving the headwaters of our water supply.
