I/We understand the need to have some expansion of urban areas but urge the full use of existing unused lands already within housing zoned areas.
The obvious concerns would be about the implementation details (agreements with municipal and Indigenous parties) and the preservation of necessary nature features, vegetation, water purity, wildlife, natural drainage, future maintenance to offset degrading changes, transportation effects and costs.
Much concern for the likely effect of future bias in considering such changes to public supported Greenbelt Plans too easy to do.
We are concerned that both industry and retail development tends to follow urban trends and must be extremely well controlled for all the above listed considerations.
There will no doubt be many points of view (some not yet thought of) brought public by a variety of interested and concerned groups which should must have their points honestly considered.
