I object to the government's proposed changes to remove land from the Greenbelt. Whilst the housing crisis is real and significant, the answer is not to destroy the little remaining natural environment of southern Ontario - especially not in a time of climate crisis. Instead, the government should focus on densification. Rezone single-dwelling areas to allow the construction of denser living spaces! This doesn't have to be towering condos - we have a clearly missing middle of low-rise and townhouses in every major city in southern Ontario.
Stop building out. Build up.
