Ontario is already building a record number of homes, we don't have enough talented trades people to build quality homes. Build more homes? How about focusing on building affordable homes? All these new houses are still too expensive for many people, and I would guess for many just arriving in our province or country.
Developers are already cramming too many homes in what used to be open fields. New houses sometimes require two sump pumps to keep up with removing water around foundations. Remember when a sump pump wasn't required in a basement?
We certainly don't need to be building in the greenbelt it was designated as such for a reason. We have a vast province, if so many new homes are truly required I'm sure there are other places they can be built.
