I am very disappointed in this Government's insistence to tear apart the environment. We have a greenbelt that was created to help preserve green space and important environmental sensitive and agricultural lands. We do not need to take away from this protected country side to build houses. There is more than sufficient lands already available to accommodate future housing needs. The idea to remove land from the greenbelt is short sighted and is not well thought out. Once removed it can never be added back and will be developed. We should be adding additional lands to the greenbelt rather than removing them. Creating more land for housing and increasing the supply will not make housing affordable. It will only create land that developers can use to build more expensive housing. They are not interested in building affordable housing as they want more profit from bigger expensive housing.
Please leave the greenbelt alone and add to it, not shrink it by removing land for development. Listen to the people of the province for a change.
