These laws should not be changed because it is protecting our land for a reason. It protects the the forests and animals that our Country is known for. Some of the animals are even endangered like our caribou or the barn owl. The list of animals and plant life that would be harmed or killed by changing these laws is to long for just one comment. Our home will become more polluted forcing animals into suburban areas. This is a problem we’re already dealing will and seeing what happens when their food and home is taken away. There have been coyote attacks in Burlington Ontario. You’re seeing more foxes and coy wolf’s in areas they shouldn’t be. Taking away more of their land won’t solve these problems. It will do the opposite and won’t help Canada become more green like the government keeps saying their working on doing. Focusing on making already existing living areas more sustainable should be the mane focus. If we keep pushing back that line of protected land eventually there won’t be anything left to protect.
