I am very much opposed to opening up parcels of the greenbelt for development. Rather than encouraging greater urban sprawl, this government should instead be focused on densification. This government should be forcing developers to be building high rises in areas that can support them and mandating a minimum number of 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom units. They should be putting caps on the cost of these new units. If this government was serious about fixing the affordability and housing crisis, there are certainly ways to do so without sacrificing environmentally sensitive areas. Please reconsider this horrible decision and start acting in the best interest of the people of Ontario now, and in the future.
