I encourage the government to take a science-based approach to this issue (as with all issues).
Listen to your experts telling you that you can meet housing demand without encroaching on the Greenbelt. Promote increased density. Use areas already zoned for development to increase density.
Listen to your experts telling you that the environmental studies are inadequate and that you can't simply chop up the Greenbelt without detrimental effects on the environment. And you certainly can't replace forest with fields - not all 'green space' is created equally.
Not preventing climate change will cause a far greater crises for homes than building X amount of homes in the Greenbelt.
