Absolutely not. This is a terrible idea that can and will impact the future generations that live here. We need to protect and conserve as much greenspace and farmland as possible- we can never get it back once it’s taken away.
We should look towards densifying existing areas and building out where it makes sense.
I own 19 acres in Waterdown in an area that will one day be on track for development. I stand to make a great deal of money if I ever sell. I will not. Im a small farmer that is proud to make great efforts to conserve the Beverly Swamp wetlands on which we are located, while giving back to the soil as it so greatly blesses us with food. If this ever gets taken away that’s it. It is gone. You cannot relocate or replicate ecosystems. Stop being so short sighted!!!! Stop putting human lives, wildlife, nature and our planet behind profits. This is insanity!
