The area's proposed will not address the underlying problems with housing for the identified areas.
They will increase city infrastructure demands without providing a tax revenue equivalent return on investment. Further more, the Greenbelt was intended to allow for a balanced system growth and greenery. If we keep cutting it away we are loosing the parts which we enjoy about the Green Belt we are loosing the balanced system we were trying to generate/ protect.
Updating infrastructure prior to expanding into the greenbelt will assist with future developments. To do this, increase in population density in existing areas. This will increase the tax base and and provide more local funding to maintain infrastructure while preserving the Greenbelt.
