The proposed amendments to the Greenbelt are not something I support as an Ontarian. There should not be a reason whatsoever to cut into protected land. Premier Ford promised to not develop on the Greenbelt and now he is going back on his word. If we lose our Greenbelt now we are setting a dangerous precedent towards our protected lands. We need the Greenbelt in Ontario in order to protect the overall future of Ontario and our well-being as citizens of this province. Without protected nature, conserves, land, we have nothing. The Premier, the ministry and this province need to be reminded that without nature and conserve land we are jeorpadizing the ecosystems that allow us to thrive and survive as human beings. It is such a shame that the Premier and this Government prioritizes concrete and wealth over the continued relational need that we have with nature that allows us to be here as Ontarians.
