I do not support this proposal. The Greenbelt should continue to be protected from development and Conservation authorities should not have their ability to do so modified, impeded, or removed in any way. Not only is this area crucial to the biodiversity critical to maintaining our environment and ecosystems, it is also against provincial and federal regulations, and in violation of legally binding federal Treaties with Indigenous peoples pertaining to this land. The associated proposals for both rural/commercial develooment and to build Highway 413 in the Greenbelt would generate multi-millions of dollars for numerous close business partners to our current government's leadership. This illegal, unethical, shortsighted, profiteering proposal should be strongly denied and those who stand to benefit thoroughly investigated by both provincial and federal impartial review committees.
