I do not want the greenbelt to be touched. While there is a need for housing, there needs to be alternatives so we are not impacting such a large area that is currently protected under conservation and encompasses wetlands which we all know are important for the larger ecosystem.
I would suggest we look at areas that have infrastructure already in place such as office buildings that can be converted for low income earners.
The housing crisis that currently exists is for people who can not afford $500k homes. I do not think real affordable housing can be built "from the ground up". Let's look at the spaces we already have to improve and expand there.
