I am against this proposal. Firstly, it was stated by the Ford government that he would not do this. Secondly, the trade in land is ridiculously one sided. Next, there is no way this land will go to low income housing that is so desperately needed. The federal government just gave 35 million to a specific non profit to aid this problem. Not land to developers. If they are interested in solving that problem, that is how it is done.
Lastly, there is already land that can be built upon that is available. It’s just not as “valuable” to the developers. As someone who has voted conservative in the past I AM FURIOUS that this government is trying to gaslight the public.
I am also well aware this comment will fall on deaf ears but it needs to be said by as many voters living in Ontario as possible.
