I oppose this proposal in the strongest terms. Increasing housing supply should not be at the expense of irreplaceable environmentally sensitive land. Address housing through zoning policy, transit policy and densification. This proposal will erode our air quality and ability to manage floods, which is increasingly important as extreme weather events become more common as climate change progresses. As well, this will diminish accessibility to forested park lands for future generations to enjoy.
