I cannot understand the change in attitude around the Greenbelt. Only about 7 or 8 years ago you said you would listen to the people and not develop the greenbelt, we already knew there was going to be a significant population growth profile for the province and the the GTA, and we already knew we were short of homes, that's not new information, yet for some reason you've changed your opinion. The people don't support this opinion, you should put it to a referendum. Sounds pretty crazy, eh? Its because irs long term and important. What good is it to have homes and condos and people's dwellings when we don't have a good environment to live with. Believe me I'm not a green tree hugger, I think gas taxes are too high and I don't think that public transit is the solution for every problem. But we need to open space, we need to be able to breathe fresh air and see green with our eyes without driving multiple hours out of the GTA to do so. Do what you said you would do and support the people. I'm a CPA, in the accounting world, we would investigate any related party transactions and put these people in jail if there was anything that remotely smelt like entitlement payments were being made or bartered for. Look up the CFPAO Act ( https://ca.practicallaw.thomsonreuters.com/9-570-3873?transitionType=De…). It's the most serious rule we have our eye on. It is my opinion and it is my duty to inform CPA Ontario that we should perform some due diligence in this area to ensure that people have not benefited from what appears to be a multi-million dollar increase in property values since these developers brought these properties, and that is way beyond expectation. I will begin my works in this area and because it is from a group of good standing CPAs providing the opinion, it will appear unbiased and independent and it will have a lot of weight in the public eye. And at the end of the day it is the public eye that determines what is right and wrong, unfortunately yes it is a popularity contest; let's see what the public says after we perform our analysis. Good luck, your going to need it, I think this may end up being criminal from a lack of disclosure perspective, public duty perspective and certainly after we get the court's decision to open up political and TACC's accounting records, including those offshore accounts which we are now entitled to look at for all private citizens, upon obtaining the court's authority. Don't go down this route Mr Ford and friend, you will awake a sleeping giant.
