I dont believe we should be rezoning land for residential purposes to accommodate people wanting to live in and move to the GTA. The GTA does not have the infrastructure to support all these new people, the greenbelt has been protected green space for ages and I dont believe we should change our system to try to accommodate people that the city wont be able to support with the right services and stores. I personally believe we shouldnt be taking in over 300000 immigrants a year, but, if we must, they shouldnt continue to be stuffed into the GTA. theres tons of space north to build and accomodate these people without building on designated greenspace. If we build into the greenbelt the GTA will just continue to get bigger, until all the small towns surrounding it like cobourg, trenton, belleville, etc are considered suburbs of Toronto and I do not want that
