I'm against it.
When the land was originally protected as Greenbelt, it was with just this situation in mind: someone wanted to develop it, but it is land that should be protected and not developed. And that hasn't changed.
We're in the middle of a climate crisis. We need to protect all the wetlands and moraines and other such ecologies more, not less.
And sure we need more places for people to live... but we should do that by building more stuff where people actually are. Low-rises, things like that.
Also, it sure looks like the premier and his cronies are conspiring to profit off of making the planet a little less livable. That's pretty evil, and in a just country there would be legal consequences just for making the attempt.
