The elimination/voiding of the plan is not acceptable -- the objectives that were put in place with this plan should remain as they are -- if it is not broke do not try to fix it -- we need to work to adjust density & encourage smaller more affordable homes in existing approve for development lands (infill) -- not millionaire row mansions
also ALL greenbelt needs to be retained marsh & woodlot/forest no carving into these areas with construction equipment & breaking up these areas into smaller & smaller parcels -- wildlife need large connected habitat & these areas are going to be required more & more with climate change occuring
Heat is now forecast by 2050 to rise to 50C degrees -- these effects need to be factored into any decisions We have a slew of animals sheltering in these areas we do not need to put added pressure on the various species many of whom are endangered
We need these wetlands & existing woodlots maintained near our existing & new planned neighbourhoods. It will act as parkland & will act to clean the air (trees) & buffer runoff & filter water that passes thru it(marshland)
