Population growth in Ontario is a given. More housing needs to be created.
But creating single 2 million dollar homes in prime GreenBelt zone cannot be a housing strategy. If more homes need to be built, then low-density areas need to be converted to higher-density areas.
There needs to be a strategy to create more multi-rises in all parts of Ontario and not just in the downtowns of major cities.
The government needs to invest in priority mass public transit in these and between these dense cities. It should develop public transit in existing cities.
Paving greenbelt will be an ecological disaster for Ontario. We need to expand our Greenbelt by taking pressure off them.
