We know that even beyond the cultural and emotional importance of biodiversity for us and future generations, wetlands contribute immensely to the quality of water in the Ottawa area. The provincial government's shortsighted plan to devalue them ignores years of research and the impacts of climate change around the world.
Building houses needs bold creative thinking-not falling back on old destructive practises that will doom our grandchildren.
