This is a terrible idea. More generally, the majority of independent urban planners (not those associated or paid by developers) view suburbs and urban sprawl as economically and environmentally deleterious. Urban sprawl should have stopped years ago, but it is not too late. We should have greater population density and public transit options.

More specifically, there should be a formal independent investigation into the dealings between the Degasparis family and the Ford administration. I am not a partisan, but this is the clearest, most blatant example of third-world style corruption I have seen in ages. It is shameful and makes me embarrassed as a proud resident of Ontario.
